Vehicle classification
ClairWav radars that operates without a camera is limited to classifying vehicles into three categories based solely on their length:
1. Length <5m
2. Length between 5-15m
3. Length >15m
With the assistance of an integrated camera, the ClairWav radars can enhance its vehicle classification capabilities, supporting up to 12 detailed categories. This combination of radar and camera data allows for more accurate identification and classification of vehicles beyond simple length-based categories, enabling a richer and more nuanced understanding of the traffic environment.
1. Sedan
2. SUV/MPV
3. Bus (public bus, coach)
4. Medium-sized passenger van (e.g., bread van, Coaster)
